About the role

Title: Technical Business Analyst (SFIA5)

Why we need this role
This role is required to support Gemba’s service delivery.
Role Details
As a Business Analyst, you'll work as part of an Agile Scrum Team, having responsibility for understanding user needs, working closely with clients, translating problems or requirements into user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
You'll be customer focused and responsible for building collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships. Driving the wider departmental business goals by analysing the developer experience problem space and identifying, prioritising and supporting architects to develop strategic roadmaps.
Promote a DevOps culture and support the scrum teams to achieve team goals.
This role requires SC or DV Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Working with stakeholders and business users from our customers to elicit, capture, analyse, refine, communicate and document their requirements.
Representing the technical team in communication with customers about the project delivery.
Supporting architects, designers and developers in the definition of technical solutions and product roadmaps
Working with Developer Experience and Engineering Architects in the carrying out value stream mappings, improving engineering processes and supporting the development of products that support engineers in their day to day work.
Validating that the functional and non-functional requirements are appropriately implemented within the solution.
Estimating timescales, resources and planning to successfully deliver a project.
Contributing to the creation of best practices through the identification of reusable project assets.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT trends, best practices and digital technologies.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates to possess the following attributes:
A track record of working on IT development programmes with demonstrable experience of working on a variety of different IT delivery projects.
A firm grounding in DevOps Culture and understanding of Engineering Practices.
Experience of working with a recognised Agile or Iterative development methodology (e.g. Scrum, SAFe).
Experience of Agile documentation including Backlogs, Customer Journeys, Use Cases, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria.
Experience of a variety of requirements elicitation techniques.
Experience of the full project lifecycle and a good understanding of project roles and activities (technical and non-technical) required for successful delivery.
Good facilitation and influencing skills with the ability to work with large groups of customers of varying levels of seniority from user to senior leadership level.
Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with and present to internal teams and customers with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
